What do I need to take this class?

A willingness to be playful and kind to yourself.

A sense of curiosity about what can happen when we quiet the judgement and create freely.

The time to watch as much as you want whenever you want (you have a year to access this class!).

Some basic supplies, paints, pencils, markers and a sketchbook.

If you find that you are tight or feel constricted in your creativity, this will help loosen you up.

The goal is to enjoy, experiment, have fun and fall in love with being creative in a sketchbook.

Here's what my students say about my classes:

Brilliant!

"Thank you very much for making this class. It was just what I needed to loosen up after several years of not making art."

-Desiree

This is a fun and relaxing class!

"I have immensely enjoyed it. It has allowed me to branch out and try something new and I’ve loved Suzanne’s examples and explanations. I will rewatch and do the whole thing again now that I’ve attempted one piece so that I can change what I don’t like about my work and keep working on what I do like!"

-Aimee

Love the teacher!

"And also the subject that she chooses. Very bright. Very happy. Suzanne inspires you to just keep at it! And she shows that messes can be made into beautiful art! Thank you! Have taken 2 of your classes, now I’ll take the other one too. And yes!!! I’m painting happy paintings thanks to you."

-Sonia

Over four hours of visual inspiration and coaching to free your creative self!

About Suzanne Allard

I’m a floral/abstract painter and creativity teacher. When I first started painting a few years ago I wasn’t a big sketchbook user. I would dabble here and there but didn’t really have a relationship with my sketchbooks the way I do now.

I would see all those pretty sketchbooks online and think what is the point, why go to all that trouble just to make a small version of something?

Then I started really being brave in the sketchbook, trying new things, going back over things. Somehow, I had permission to be freer in the sketchbook than I did on a regular-sized painting. It gave me more freedom to fully flesh out ideas and then it became fun to see if I could make each spread something I liked.

This process of growing and falling in love with your sketchbook is what I’m aiming to teach you in this class. The by-product is that you grow as a creative person because I believe we all have a creative spirit that wants to express itself.
